Sun Claims Record Breaking Server Array is the best place to shop for wall mount racks and other network storage gear, it’s true, but what about the equipment that goes in those racks?

Sun Microsystems’ new 2 Terabyte storage array, dubbed the FlashFire, is boasting record throughput of 12.8GB/sec and an impressive 1.2 million I/O operations per second (which is about double what its competitors currently at market are able to perform). The lower-end F5100 is priced at $46k, putting that kind of processing power out of reach of most network admins. While waiting for an upgrade, protect the equipment you do have with our racks and cabinets.
